There was a slight fog over the Mekong River for our early departure from this ancient town.

We followed the river out of town past the now superseded Wiang Chiangsaen Port.

 

The old Chiang Saen river port has been replaced by a more modern facility 40 times  larger, 10 kilometres out of town.

 

417 kilometres. Three Provinces (Chiang Rai, Phayao, Nan).
