Wat Ku Mithila | Adventures

A contemporary Wat of the same name, with its associated buildings, dominates the grounds where tiny Ku Mithila is located.

A laterite block cover for the five carved figures at the centre of this small structure is built in the Khmer style – without adhering too strictly to the ancient design – on a square, possibly-refurbished, laterite block base.

It is not possible to determine a date for its construction of the ‘cover’ though it would appear to be contemporary. The antiquity of the base is equally difficult to determine although it would appear to be of Khmer origin.
