Prasat Ta Muen Thom is a Khmer archaeological site of three buildings located in proximity to each other. The companion prasats are Ta Muen Tot and Ta Muen.

: Prasat Ta Muen Thom

Prasat Ta Muen Thom is located on the Thai-Cambodia border – which border in this area is indeterminate. While not exactly in dispute, negotiations are ongoing to determine its exact location. In the meantime Prasat Ta Muen Thom is considered to be in Thailand.

Prasat Ta Muen Thom was built as a Hindu shrine that regarded Shiva as the supreme deity.

Its architectural style indicate that it was probably built in the 11th century, possibly 12th century, making it older than nearby Prasat Ta Muen and Prasat Ta Muen Tot. It is the largest prasat in the Ta Muen group.

The principal prasat of Ta Muen Thom is in the centre of the site, built of sandstone and facing south. Two other prasats are positioned on both sides to the rear. In the interior is a Shiva linga, which is an abstract representation (aniconic) of the Hindu god Shiva.
