This 660 kilometre, iconic outback road connects Derby and Wyndham/Kununurra. With the Great Northern Highway, it is one of only two roads that cross the vast expanse of the Kimberley.
As the name suggests it takes its name from the Gibb River. Surprisingly, the river and the road do not connect or intersect.
